The Magellan Series stay close to knee high at 14 inches while the Thumbelina Series of dwarf zinnias peak at 6 to 8 inches. But usually the seed packets will give you some guidance on this. Larger varieties should be placed 12 inches 30 cm apart.
Late successions seem much shorter not as productive.
