My Ruellia graecizans hasnt started flowering yet but at least it did survive the winter so it should flower sooner or later.
Uneven watering can cause buds to drop prematurely. There main blooming period is from Spring to summer but many Ruellia will also carry sporadic flowers at later times of the year. Today there are only a couple of flowers. These plants resist damage by browsing deer.
