Viburnum Lantana Flower. A shrub up to 4 6 m tall with a dense growth form partly caused by adventitious shoots and rooting of branches in close contact to the ground. Look for them in hedges and woodland edges with full bloom in the spring and heavy with berries in the autumn.
It is a deciduous multi-stemmed shrub that typically grows to 10-15 tall and as wide. The white blossoms lack fragrance so you can use it near entryways and seating areas without worrying about a pungent spring scent. It is in flower from May to June and the seeds ripen from July to September.
And 2 an inner cluster of small greenish fertile flowers.
Traditionally placed in Caprifoliaceae but now in Adoxaceae Ste-vens 2002. 1 an outer ring of 34-inch wide showy white flowers that are sterile but may attract pollinators. The flowers on Viburnum lantana and Mohican viburnum open in flattened clusters that measure 2 to 3 inches across. Lantana is itself an ornamental shrub pretty in flower in fruit and sometimes in its red autumn tints.
