Is Ammi Majus Invasive. 08072014 Ammi majus is an annual or biennial which can be sown in August to September to give tall robust plants the following summer or in spring to produce smaller plants the same year. The federal list includes no species commonly grown as wildflowers.
Sometimes they get invasive and are pulled up as weeds. Ammi is also typically more delicate and less weedy. 28022021 I have not found anything suggesting that Ammi majus might be invasive but it is definitely toxic to dogs and cats so that makes it not the best choice either.
Ive tried both methods.
No reference that we have lists this species as invasive in North America. In fact many biennial species of Queen Annes lace have been listed as invasive by the US. 26 rows This species Ammi majus is also called Bishops Flower and is an annual while the more common one is biennial. It is an annual looks much the same and in fact is often called Queen Annes Lace.
