Corpse Flower Height. Jul 05 2021 The size of the Corpse Flower bloom is probably its greatest attraction. The record holder comes in at over 12 feet tall.
The name is due to its large spadix the tall part in the center which sprouts out of a massive cup-shaped skirt. One week last summer Madison Wisconsin became obsessed with the imminent blooming of a rare tropical plant evocatively called titan arum. This large spadix can grow ten to twenty feet tall making it the tallest flower in the world.
But the corpse flower tends to.
This will mark just the 12th corpse flower to bloom at the Huntington Library since August of 1999. A corpse flower can hold the remains of up to nine dead humanoids. The bloom is rare. Interestingly the corpse flower is not a flower at all.
