Brugmansia Aurea Flower. Native to South America. With a common name as heavenly as angels trumpet its hard to imagine that brugmansia.
All plant parts are highly poisonous and should never be ingested. Frost tender open shrub or tree with oblong-elliptic wavy-margined leaves and trumpet-shaped night-scented flowers. Large trumpet flowers open downward and bloom for most of the year.
It belongs to the nightshade family the same family as the tomato and potato but unlike them all parts are poisonous.
By seed by cuttings. Brugmansia is a genus of seven species of flowering plants in the family Solanaceae. Unfortunately Brugmansia aurea is often attacked by pests in our country. Brugmansia have traditionally been used in many South American indigenous cultures in medical preparations and as an entheogen in religious or spiritual ceremonies.
